We understand that no two jobs are the same and that clients will have questions. We have done our best to list some of the most common questions and answers below.
How long will my project take?
Obviously every project is different. We usually run one project at a time and tend to go a little slower than most landscape contractors. We take our time and do things correctly. Cutting corners and rushing is not an option for us.
What are your payment terms?
Most projects are broken down into thirds. The first third is a down payment. The second third is due shortly after construction starts and the final third is due at project completion when the homeowner is 100% satisfied.
I'm pretty good at DIY, can I help you or will I just be getting in the way?
You will just be getting in the way. We promise that we will not ask you if we can help you at your job.
Are you licensed and bonded?
Yes, we are. Our licenses are as follows: CR21 - 293769 for Irrigation Systems and CR31 - 302509 for Masonry.
Do you warranty/guarantee all your work?
Of course! Irrigation systems are warranted for 1 year and all hardscape/masonry items for 2 years. Most plants are guaranteed for 90 days. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for weather related damage.
Do you have a design fee?
If Coconut Contracting designs your yard and we are allowed to build it, then the design is free. If you just want us to design your project and not build it, we would be happy to do that for a fair design fee appropriate to your project size.
How did you come up with the name Coconut for your company?
Coconut Contracting was established in February 2010. Coming up with a good name was obviously an important task but I was having a very hard time with it. My son Isaiah was 2 at the time and his nickname was Coconut. We named the company after him.
